As a giant “Swiftie,” all I’ve been able to think about over the past week is a big April 26th announcement Taylor Swift has been teasing. A lot of fans are speculating about a new single or album release. I think it’s safe to say that new music is going to be involved. And as Taylor’s fans know, with new music from Taylor, comes a new “era” of her personal style. Basically, all I want to do is fast forward to Friday, so I’m going to distract myself by compiling photos of my favorite fashions that have gone along with her album eras.
It’s not really a secret that the 00’s were kind of not the best fashion years, so I had a hard time pulling from her Taylor Swift and Fearless eras. Also, she was 17 when her debut record came out – if I were going to award shows and picking outfits for my own concerts at that age, I’m sure I’d be in Jincos and a sun visor that said “Angel” on it. Maybe that’s an idea for another blog post…
ANYWAYS, let’s get to what we care about – The Queen.
I’m starting right where the looks get good, the Speak Now era:
Now we come to the RED era:
In my journey as a “Swiftie,” this is where I really became obsessed with her. I’d wanted to go to the tours before, but the RED tour was the first one I actually made it to, and once I went to one, I knew I would have to go to every one that ever came after.
Then came the 1989 era:
A wonderful era. Taylor was on top of the world in fashion and in music. WHAT COULD GO WRONG!?
Well something did go wrong, which led us to a dark time in late 2016/early 2017 where Taylor was barely heard from or seen from at all:
But finally she emerged with a new look, attitude and a new Era, Reputation:
I’m especially obsessed with the Harper’s Bazaar shoot!
And NOW the MYSTERIOUS NEW ERA:
It seems to be full of shades of pink and florals. I am not really 1000% on-board with the dress below, but maybe it’s just the giant red backdrop throwing me off.
SO which was your favorite Taylor era and what do you think this Friday will bring?! Tell me in the comments!
