Vintage Winter 2018-2019 Style Dump

I’ve been making so many random Shoplook sets lately that I’ve decide to start every season with a stylespo post that uses pieces from the Etsy shop.

Now we find ourselves at the first day of winter. When it’s cold outside, it’s a struggle [for me, at least] to even get out from under the covers – much less put together a cute outfit and wash my hair. So maybe (probably not, but maybe) these sets will provide some inspiration and motivation for me to make myself presentable from now through early March.

Look 1:Vintage Winter Style Inspiration - Casual Outfit

It doesn’t get more comfortable than this. Plus, you can easily rip your pants off and get back in bed quickly if necessary. I feel this outfit is very Dua Lipa, who I was listening to while making it, so I guess it seeped from my ears, through my fingers and into the outfit…by way of the computer…

We are taking dad fashion to the next level here. Dare I say that it’s even a little “Wet Bandits chic.” A baby step, or maybe more like a crawl, into being “presentable.” Marv and Harry approved.

Pretty standard outfit made more interesting with a golf sweater. Golf sweaters make everything more interesting, believe me.

This look was heavily inspired by Brandon Walsh’s girlfriend, Nikki, on season 3 of Beverly Hills 90210 (seen below):

Anyways, it’s only for the 90’s style enthusiast. I could never pull it off. Would be great for a house party, if you find anybody up to hosting in this good forsaken season. And you guys, I live in North Carolina, so I really hate to imagine what would happen to me if I lived up north.

Look 5:

Vintage Winter Style Inspiration Casual

This look is simple, but I love a flare in the winter – especially with a chunky shoe.

Look 6:

Vintage Winter Style Inspiration - Casual Outfit

This is an androgynous look that mixes dad fashion and 1990’s fraternity fashion (which isn’t a thing yet, but will be). The cap is perfect for unwashed winter hair and the loafers make you look smart.

Look 7:

Vintage Winter Style Inspiration - Work Outfit

I thought I’d move on from totally casual outfits to something that could be worn to a dressier event or workplace, even though the winter is no time to dress up. Really, we should all just be wearing fleece leggings and Uggs and lock ourselves in our apartments until spring. But that’s not the way the world works.

Tunic available in the Etsy shop.

Look 8:

Vintage Winter Style Inspiration - Dressy Outfit

This outfit would be perfect for a work holiday party, New Years Eve or even a Valentines date. I love an embellished sweater!

Look 9:

Vintage Winter Style Inspiration - Club Outfit

A club might be the only place you could wear this in winter and not freeze. Bring a jacket! I was thinking NYE in Miami when I styled it.

Mini skirt available in the Etsy shop.

Look 10:

Vintage Winter Style Inspiration - Dressy Outfit

Pair this look with black tights if it’s really cold outside – but would work for a dressy event, winter wedding or, again, Valentines day. It would also be great for work with some calmed down shoes.

Dress available in Etsy shop.

So do you like dressing for winter more than I do? What are you going to wear this season? Let me know in the comments below!
