“Scumbro” is a term I learned this morning. I first saw it in an article on InStyle, which referenced it back to a Vanity Fair piece. If you’re not going to take the time to read those articles, I’ll sum up what I took from them: scumbro is a male style aesthetic which mixes budget, vintage and designer pieces, and although the outfit may cost thousands of dollars, it somehow leaves the wearer looking like they either stole their wardrobe from Brandon Walsh’s high school gym locker or got dressed in an Ambien blackout.
Upon hearing about this trend, I immediately realized how many pieces of clothing I have in my Etsy shop that the scumbros would love. Both articles cite SNL star (and Ariana Grande fiance) Pete Davidson as someone who encompasses prime scumbro status. Visuals below:
I decided to put together some Davidson inspired looks that use pieces from my shop. (And since Polyvore crapped out on everybody, I’ve started using Shoplook, which I’m really enjoying!) Now you can pair my vintage digs with your high end goods and look just like Pete! Check it out:
